Obituary for Wilbur B Belson

Wilbur B Belson, 92, of Midland, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Toni & Trish House. He was born on August 21, 1922, the son of Bernie William Belson and Lida (Hubble) Belson.
Wilbur served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. He served under General Patton in the 808th Tank Destroyer Battalion as part of the 3rd Army. He was very proud to have served as a Corporal for his country.
Wilbur is survived by his Son, Harold (Pamela) Belson of Midland, MI; Daughter, Rebecca (Mike) McAleese of Calgary Alberta; three Grandchildren, Scott Belson(Michele), Kristy Bis,(Mike) and Yvonne Ashbee(Shea); Great-Grandchildren, Bradley, Justin, Rylie, and Elora. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Reva Belson; Daughter, Sharon K. Belson; Siblings, Ross, Forest, Ernest, Florence, Mildred, and Harry.
Wilbur enjoyed fishing, traveling, hunting in his younger years and of course his family. He traveled through most of the States and Canada. He loved to read and listen to his music. His favorite was the Big Band era "The Swing." He loved his family and adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a wonderful man with a big heart who will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037 on Sunday August 9, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Monday, August 10, 2015, at 2:00 pm.
Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Toni & Trish House.
