Obituary for Richard Herman Pauley

Richard Herman Pauley, 87, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Select Specialties Hospital of Battle Creek. He was born on March 1, 1928, the son of Albert Adolf Pauley and Marie June(Ludwick) Pauley.
Richard served in the U.S. Army and the 11th Cavlary. He fought in World War II and was in Japan in 1942. After he came home he worked in a few different factories and was an excellent fork lift driver.
Richard is survived by his two Sons, Chuck (Karen) Cotton and David (Mary) Cotton; Daughter, Jeanne (Tim) Emmons; three Sisters, Sue Fish, Carol Newby, and Colleen Freeman; 11 Grandchildren; 36 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Phyllis June (Whitman) Pauley, Parents, and Brothers, Eugene Pauley, Duane Pauley, and Lavern Pauley.
Richard loved to laugh. He enjoyed driving, he would just get in the car and drive all over. He and his wife went on all kinds of road trips, they made many memories driving. Richard was also a fisherman. He enjoyed watching old westerns and making people laugh.
A memorial service will be held at the Battle Creek Baptist Temple, 3186 W. Michigan Ave., on Friday, November 20, 2015, 1:00 pm with Pastor Lyle Dye officiating.
Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
