Evelyn "Sandy" Ughetti, 77, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on March 11, 1938, the daughter of Robert Jones and Evelyn (Mitte) Jones.
Sandy was an RN for 42 years in the Battle Creek Community Health Systems until her retirement in 2000. She worked at Heritage Assisted Living for eight years.
Sandy is survived by her Husband of 61 years - Louis J. Ughetti; five Children, Louis R. Ughetti, Cyndy White-Burgett, Cathy (Jack) Winter, Dino J. (Dana) Ughetti, and Gregory (Karin) Ughetti; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; one Great Great-Grandaughter; two Brothers, Mike (Tammy) Ostafin, and Christopher Ostafin; Sister, Elaine Burdick; two special friends, Barb Herrick, Pat Motley and her beloved dog, Doobie. She was preceded in death by her parents and Son-in-law, Larry Burgett.
Sandy was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making things for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed craft shows, and going to the movies with her friends. Sandy loved to garden and maintain her flowers. Her family was her world and she loved to spend all of her time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She had a big heart and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
