Mary Marie Jones, 76, of Battle Creek, Michigan, transitioned to her next life on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on February 24, 1940, the daughter of Lassie Ann (Ledbetter) Jones. Mert is survived by her Daughter, Barbara Ellen Ansley of Battle Creek, MI; Two Sons, Anthony (Dawn) Phillips of Coldwater, Jerry David Phillips of Bowling Green, KY; Two Sisters, Carolyn (Jim) Mosher of Lansing, Brenda (William) Jones of Diamondale; 7 grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Lassie Ann Jones, Sister, Paullette Jones, Brother, Kendall Jones, Brother, Herbert Jones, Sister, Vaudamay Wilson, Brother, William Jones and son Thomas Duane Phillips.
Mary really liked gardening and her grandkids. She loved framing pictures of her grandchildren and putting them on every wall in the house. Vegetables were her favorite thing to grow. She loved to cook chocolate biscuits, blackberry dumplings and fried green tomatoes. Mary would crochet doilies, starch them and put candy or fruit or flowers for centerpieces.
