Obituary for Mary Jo Campbell

Mary Jo Campbell, 79, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Northpointe Woods. She was born on December 17, 1936, the daughter of Carroll Rush and Harriet Johannah (Rouhe?) Rush.
Mary Jo graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1955. She and her husband spent their time in San Diego while Dick was in the Navy. She was a full time homemaker while in California. They returned to Battle Creek and she was hired as an interpreter for the deaf at the school.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband of 60 years - Richard Campbell; daughter, Carol Pease; two sons, Richard (Nancy) Campbell, Jr., and Patrick (Doreen) Campbell; two sisters, Margaret A Rush, and Helen Carolynn Rush; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, JoHanna Wilkerson.
Mary Jo loved music, playing the piano, the organ for church and sewing. She sang with the Sweet Adalines for a short period. She sang A cappella in high school and for the choir. She loved her family dearly and she will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
