James Ray Martin, 73, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Evergreen Senior Care & Rehab Center. He was born on February 16, 1943, the son of Louis Guile and Phyllis (Powers) Guile.
James was a 1961 graduate of St. Phillip Catholic Schools. He retired from Denso Mfg. in 2005.
James is survived by his Sons, Christopher James (Katrina) Martin of Battle Creek, MI and Tom (Cheryl) Mellen of Battle Creek, MI; Grandchildren, Josie, Brendan, Cole, Andrew, Samantha, Rebecca & Rachel; Great Grandchildren, Paige & Faith. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his Sister, Mary Jean Martin and Grandson, Tyler.
James enjoyed working with his hands and was very mechanical. He was an excellent drummer and played in several bands including Ambush.
