Obituary for Roy Leonard Jacks

Roy Leonard Jacks, 72, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 29, 1944, the son of Leonard Andrew Jacks and Frances (Griffith) Jacks.
Roy attended Hazel Park High School and then the Wilbur Wright Trade School in Detroit, MI. He was employed at Teleflex Inc. for 19 years until retiring in 2005 and was formerly employed at Borg Warner in Coldwater, MI.
Roy is survived by his Wife of 53 years, Constance "Connie" Anne (Powell) Jacks of Battle Creek, MI; Daughters, Dawn (Jeffrey) Wilson of Canton, MI, Debra (John) Hausman of Battle Creek, MI and Danielle (Brian) Porter of White Lake, MI; Son, Darren Jacks of Bend, OR; Grandchildren, Corey, Chelsea, Jeremiah, Olivia, Jacob, Jessica, Hannah, Sarah, Emily & Haylee; 2 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Sylvia Miller and Thelma Barkley. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
Roy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling out west, building and restoring street rods and was an auto racing fan. He also loved home building and repair projects for all those who needed a helping hand.
