Billy Joe Hoyt, 62, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at home. He was born on April 24, 1954, the son of Loretta (Hoyt) Armstrong.
Billy graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and later Kellogg Community College. He worked as a computer programmer for the Federal Center for many years. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves as well as the Navy.
Billy is survived by his two sons, Michael (Teri) Hoyt, and Matthew (Christina) Hoyt; daughter, Stacy Hoyt; six grandchildren, Sabrina Casler, Natalie Hoyt, Zachary Hoyt, Morgan Caulley, Carson Caulley, and Hunter Hoyt; great-grandkids, Braden and Colton Casler; brother, Alvin Armstorng; sister, Marietta Carnes and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his Wife, Carolyn J. Hoyt.
Billy had a passion for technology and loved to be on the computer. He also enjoyed sports and didn't miss any Detroit Lions or Michigan Wolverines games.
