Obituary for Barbara June Gay

Barbara June Gay, 70, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 13, 1947, the daughter of Howard Perry and Phoebe (Long) Perry.
Barb had a passion for helping people and caring for those who needed her. She graduated from the KCC Nursing Program. Barb then became an RN with the Battle Creek Health Systems for many years where she loved caring for people.
Barb is survived by her Husband of 48 years - Robert Gay; Father, Howard Perry; Sons, Gregory (Christine) Gay, Robert Gay, Jr., Ryan Gay, and Daughter, Bobbie Thomas; 8 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; Siblings, Pat Denning, Ken Perry, Marty Perry, Keith Perry, Morgan Perry, Steve Perry, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving friends and family. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Phoebe Perry.
Barb absolutely adored her family. She loved gathering them all for any occasion and hosting big holiday dinners. Barb loved to cook, bake and fill her home with family and friends; hearing the laughter roam through the home. She also enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, and other crafts. We don't know how she did everything she did and still always found a way to sacrifice her time for others. Barb had a heart of gold and she will be deeply missed by all those she had touched in life.
