LaShaundra Dominique McPeters, 31, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Battle Creek Manor. She was born on July 16, 1986, the daughter of JB First and Laurie Ann (Tate) First.
Shaunie graduated from Battle Creek Central. She participated in band and played basketball and soccer. She enjoyed staying active. After high school she attended Kellogg Community College and successfully completed the EMT program. She worked at Musashi for a short time and also did some cooking for the Haven of Rest. She attended the Rhema World Outreach Center.
Shaunie is survived by her Husband of 2 years - Phillip McPeters; four children, Kendra, Elijah, Keenan, and Liam; her parents JB and Laurie First; Sister, Mia Henry; Brother, JB First; Brother and Sister, Cristiano and Gabriella of Italy; Grandmother, Beryl Tate; special friend, Wrenetta White and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other loving family who miss her dearly.
Shaunie loved to make jokes and be surrounded by laughter. She had a great spirit and a big heart. She was very independent and knew she could do anything if she put her mind to it; including fixing cars. She was so smart and could complete any task put in front of her whether she knew how to finish when she started or not. Shaunie was a great mother and loved to take care of her kids and spend quality time with them. Her memories will be cherished dearly by all those she leaves behind.
