Daniel Jerome Richards "Bones", 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at home. He was born on May 31, 1950, the son of Charles Jerome Richards and Overtis (Pulley) Richards.
Danny graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1969. He joined the United States Navy right out of high school and he served faithfully as a medic. He worked for the federal center, Grand Trunk Railroad, and an Entrepreneur in home renovating. Danny and his wife attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Bones is survived by his Wife of 20 years - Pamela (Foster) Richards; three Daughters, Roshell Johnson, Tiffany Foster,and Ebony (Theo) Shaw; six Grandchildren, Brianna McClendon, Richard McClendon, Jr., Eniyah Thomas, Jalissa Samuel, Jada Foster, and Elijah Shaw; two Sisters, Janet Richards of Muskegon, MI, Sonja (Sonny) Lee of Detroit, MI; Sister-in-Law, Diana (Dwight) Adams of Detroit, MI; two Brothers, Kenneth (Lillian) Richards of Battle Creek, MI, and Jeffery Murphy of Battle Creek, MI; Special nephew, Kenneth Cunningham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Jerome Richards, Mother, Overtis Richards.
Danny was an outstanding wrestler in Battle Creek Central High School. He loved to go fishing, he enjoyed eating and watching old flicks and movies. Enjoyed time with his friends and family. He will be sorely missed by all those he leaves behind.
A family hour will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday, January 18, 2018, 11:00 am followed by a celebration of life beginning at 12 Noon with Rev. Timothy Troxler of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
