O.D. Sanders Sr., 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Evergreen Senior Care & Rehab Center. He was born on May 21, 1947, the son of Ethel Sanders and Annie Mae (Reed) Sanders.
O.D. was employed at McGraw Edison and Decker Mfg. in Albion, MI
O.D. is survived by his Son, O.D. (Evette) Sanders Jr. of NC; Daughters, Barbara Ann Sanders and Danielle (Keialonda) Sanders-Scott; Grandchildren, Tyrone, Latrece, Jordan & Kiera; 3 Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Ethel Sanders, Jr., William Sanders and Clyde (DeAndra) Sanders; Sisters, Edna Wilson and Mary Clark; Special Friend, Ella "Sissy" Smith; Former Spouse, Pearlie Sanders. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, Fred Sanders and Joe Sanders, Former Spouse, Brenda Sanders.
O.D enjoyed fishing, baseball, basketball, singing and loved spending time with his family. He was a member at Holy Light Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the male chorus.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Saturday August 18, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
A Home Going Service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 12:00 noon with Pastor J.C. Oliver of officiating.
