Obituary for Geraldine Price

Ms. Geraldine Price, 53 of Battle Creek, died peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2018 surrounded by family and friend at the Bronson Battle Creek.
Ms. Geraldine Price, daughter of the late Charles Cummings and Mary (Gardner) Price, was born, December 31, 1964, in Highland Park, Michigan. She graduated from Battle Creek Central. She also graduated from the Kellogg Community College School of Nursing with a Licensed Registered Nurses Degree.
Geraldine worked in the Nursing profession as a Visiting Nurse. She worked in the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo area at different facilities.
Geraldine found the Lord at an early age, she united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, she was active member of the Women’s Missionary Society. She loved visiting the Nursing Homes for services.
Geraldine loved her jail ministry, where she corresponded with inmates in prison, playing cards, being with her grandchildren, family and friends. She also loved mentored young Christian women in walks of faith, she loved giving to different charity as God blessed her, she was just a very giving person. She never met a stranger.
Survivors include: sons, Jamal Price (Ashley) of Battle Creek; George Price of Marquette, MI; Grandchildren: Jamaria and Jay’Vion Price of Battle Creek and Arieonia Davis of Detroit, MI.; Sisters: Traci Nunnally of Kalamazoo, MI, Mary Riley and Cynthia Green of Battle Creek, MI. Brother: Larry Cummings of Lansing, MI; Host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. A Special Mother Norma Burton and Special Daughter Kristy Purdy.
Also preceded in death by Sister Sheila Guy and Brother Bernard Cunnings.
The family will receive friends at 11 am at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 636 W Van Buren St., Battle Creek, MI. Memorial services will begin at 12 pm with Pastor Timothy Troxler officiating.
