Linda Faye Henderson, 55, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 24, 1960, the daughter of Melvin P. Henderson and Ida M. (Newbill) Henderson.
Linda graduated Battle Creek Central High School and from Kellogg Community College with a certificate of completion in Word Processing. She worked at the VA for 10 years before moving to the Post Office for 9 years. She was also a CNA for 15 years, where she enjoyed helping people.
Linda is survived by her two daughters, Denisha and Danaisa Henderson; beloved pet, Missy Henderson; three brothers, Melvin Henderson, Jr., Karl Henderson, and Brian Henderson; four sisters, Yovonna (Leonard) Horton, Michelle La Grand, Lillian Graham, Tamera Fields and special friend, Lester "Tyrone" Lytle. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin P. Henderson, Sr., brother, Michael Henderson, and sister, Michelle Parker.
Linda loved to cook, crochet, and more than anything help people. She had a heart of gold and would go to great lengths to provide for others. Linda always enjoyed gathering her family and friends and spending time with them. She enjoyed gardening and loved to magazine shop. She loved to eat but more than that, she loved to feed people. You never left her house hungry.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 12 noon followed by a funeral service at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on August 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m with Rev. Timothy Troxler of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
