Idora Jones-Rogers, 82, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on February 22, 1933, the daughter of Charlie and Mable (Dudley) Cade.
Idora was employed in dietary at the Detroit Metropolitan Hospital until retiring.
Idora is survived by Daughters: Kimberly (Jessie) Wells of El Paso, TX, Janice Haskeo of Florida, Julia (Ronnie) McGee of Huntsville, AL and Diane (James) Stokes of Battle Creek, MI; Son: Donald (Joni) Anderson of Battle Creek, MI; 25 Grandchildren, a host of Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Margaret, Carolyn, Debra, Dorothy, Barbara & Julia; Brothers: Charles, Oscar, James, Felton, Marvin & Londell. She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Daughter:, Claudia Kemp Anderson; Sons: Marvin Anderson and Obie Lee Jones, Jr.
Idora enjoyed fishing, cooking, dancing, dressing up, preaching at funerals and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board and work in the kitchen.
A celebration of Idora's life will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, November 13, 2015, 2:00 pm.
