Chester Lee  Conine
Chester "Chet" Lee Conine, 77, of Bellevue, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born on October 7, 1938, the son of Chester Ralph Conine and Francine (Rounds) Conine.
Chet served in the U.S. Navy before working for the Battle Creek Police Department and township. He worked at Clark Equipment for 22 years and ASMO for 11 years. Upon his retirement he worked for Swonks Flower Shop, that was his favorite retirement job.
Chet is survived by his Wife of 45 years - Liane (Schmid) Conine of Bellevue, Michigan; two Daughters, Pamela (Rusty) Barfield of Fort Worth, TX, Sandy Jones of Battle Creek, MI; two Sons, John Conine of Battle Creek, MI, Timothy Gorton of Battle Creek, MI; Grandchildren; Jessica, Christopher, Josh, Jake, and Justin; four Great-Grandchildren and Sister, Shirley Martenson. He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Daughter, Loretta Conine-Keniston.
Chet enjoyed motorcycles. He loved animals, cats especially. He was a true outdoorsman who loved nature and outdoor activities. Chet was an avid reader and music enthusiast. He was a member the American Motorcycle Association, HOG Club, he began the BMW Club and was the past president, Chapter Director for the Goldwing Road Riders, and a devote member of the NRA.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday November 12, 2015 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am followed by a memorial service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, 11:30 am with Pastor Robert Zuhl of First Wesleyan Church officiating.
Interment will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
