Obituary for John Edward Brunn

John Edward  Brunn
John Edward Brunn, 80, of East Leroy, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. He was born on February 17, 1935, the son of Lawrence W. Brunn and Ruth (Kelsey) Brunn.
John started working as a fireman for GTWRR right out of high school. He later drove a semi truck for Clark Equipment Co. until his retirement. John was the founder of the Athens Athletic Association, a life time member of the Athens Masonic Lodge #.., a 32nd degree Mason, and a former member of the Shriner's Mini T's.
John is survived by his Wife of 60 years - Barbara "Bobbi" (Stump) Brunn of Battle Creek, Michigan; Son, Mark (Debbie) Brunn of Mesa, AZ; Daughter, Vicki (Tim) Toll of East Leroy, MI; four Grandchildren, Robert Brunn, Jami Toll, Traci (Kendall) Cheyne, and Toby Toll; three Great-Grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lonnie (Judy) Stump; sister-in-law, Barbara Stump. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, Larry W. Brunn, Jr. and Robert Brunn, Sisters, Betty Lee, Mary Taylor, and June Brunn.
John enjoyed cutting wood, clearing land and digging the pond. He was a motorcycle buff and loved to go riding down the road with no destination in mind. John and Bobbi wintered in Bonita Springs, FL and Phoenix, AZ where they enjoyed great friends and shared a lot of laughter. He was a family man and loved them dearly, especially his grandchildren. John also enjoyed searching for Railroad Depots; he was a huge Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR fan as well.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Saturday November 21, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Chuck Winters officiating.
A private family interment will take place in the Leroy Congregational Cemetery.
