Brian Hewgill Wirt, 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 2, 1948, the son of James Bruce Wirt and Martha M. McQuiston.
Brian was employed by the Department of Corrections and then began work as a general contractor. Throughout the years Brian enjoyed photography, poetry, music, and being surrounded by close family and friends.
Brian is survived by his daughter Hilary Kristen Madery of Jackson, MI. His step-children Bart Hollman and Kimberly Hollman, both of Battle Creek. Grandchildren Meg Daly, Casey Davis, and Grace Madery. His dear friend and former wife Alice Wirt of Battle Creek. His brothers Brad Wirt and Bruce Wirt and sisters Leslie Boggio and Martha Wirt.
Brian will be dearly missed by all those who knew him over the years.
