Robert Eugene Moutz, 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Evergreen Senior Care & Rehab Center. He was born on March 2, 1935, the son of George L Moutz and Florence M (Miller) Moutz.
Robert graduated from St.Phillip Catholic High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in the SAC and he worked for Clark Equipment for 33 years until his retirement. He married the love of his life in 1962 and they had two daughters.
Bob is survived by his Wife of 53 years - Virginia L (Borton) Moutz of Battle Creek, Michigan; two Daughters, Deborah L (Robby) Potter of Battle Creek, MI, and Pamela A Moutz of Battle Creek, MI; Sister, Gloria Hyndman of Mobile, AL; six Grandchildren, Stephanie R (James) White of Colorado Springs, CO, Angela L Owen of Battle Creek, MI, Robert S Potter of Battle Creek, MI, William A Potter of Battle Creek, MI, Susan A Moutz of Battle Creek, MI, and Destin L Baker of Battle Creek, MI; six Great-Grandchildren; Cousin, Garry (Ginger) Miller and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Father Ernest R Hyndman Jr..
Bob loved singing with the Valentines singers; a group of senior citizens that enjoyed singing at different nursing facilities and centers. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed drawing. He loved the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He also enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo, traveling, deer watching and going to the casino. Bob loved to go out to eat with his family and particularly enjoyed the Chinese Buffet.
