Obituary for Doris Marie Willbur

Doris Marie Willbur, 91, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at The Heritage Assisted Living Community. She was born on September 19, 1924, the daughter of Otto L Richardson and Marie (Markley) Richardson.
Doris was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club and worked there faithfully for 38 years before her retirement in 1982.
Doris is survived by her two sons, Steven Willbur of Battle Creek, MI and Douglas (Betsy) Willbur of Battle Creek, MI; five grandchildren, Stacey Willbur, Chris Willbur, Angela (Paul) Henry, Eric Willbur, and Lisa Willbur; two great-grandchildren, Addy and Remy Henry, and five step-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Willbur, her parents and her daughter, Dawn Willbur.
Doris wintered in Florida for 32 years, where she loved to play bingo. She absolutely adored her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids, and grandkids. She also enjoyed attending all of the sporting events for her kids and grandkids. Doris was an avid Tigers fan. She would attend the spring training games down in Florida and she has an abundance of autographs from Tiger players. Taking everyone out for strawberry shortcake was another of her favorite Florida activities. She enjoyed traveling all over and had been to every state. Doris had a heart of gold and she will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Monday July 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at 11:30 a.m.
Interment will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Susan G. Koman for the cure.
