Jeanne Marie Edwards, 62, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on November 23, 1953, the daughter of Leslie A VanGeison and Jeanne Marie (Redmond) Lane.
She belonged to the National Organization of Veterans Affairs (NOVA), She also was a Brownie troup leader.
Jeanne is survived by her two Sons, Mitchell Anderson (Krissy) Edwards of Ceresco, MI, Gary Lee Edwards of Battle Creek; Daughter, Angela A (Mark) Nunley of Springfield; three sisters, Isabel Burgett of Battle Creek, Marjorie J Humes of Battle Creek, Margaret J Claywell of Battle Creek; Brother, Leslie A VanGeison of Alma; five Granddaughters, Olivia (Daniel Significant Other) Edwards of Sherwood, Ashleigh Nunley of Springfield, Brittany Nunley of Springfield, Abigail Edwards of Ceresco, Macie Nunley of Springfield; two Great Grandsons, Jaxon Collyer of Sherwood, Nick Collyer of Sherwood; Great Granddaughter, Laney Collyer of Sherwood; and her pet dog Joe . She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edwards, father, Leslie A VanGeison, mother, Jeanne Marie Lane.
Jeanne worked for the VA for over 30 years. She also worked for home health agencies. She retired from nursing due to a severe auto accident. Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandkids and family. She enjoyed planning special events. She was always upbeat regardless of the situation. Her generosity was bountiful showing special interest to her family, friends, and patients. She loved going on road trips with her mother and visiting relatives. She was cared for (as well as her husband) by her sister Margaret (Blondie) Claywell since her accident. She never gave up on life. This world lost a beautiful, caring soul and a friend to many.
