Mercedies Frances Bailey, 62, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on April 7, 1954, the daughter of Arthur Kendrick and Francis (Allen) Kendrick.
As a member of the Maranatha Original of God, she was active in the Choir, Missionary Circle, and Pastor Aid Committee.
Cedie is survived by her two sons, Dewayne Kendrick of Battle Creek, DaShaun (Sherrill) Bailey of Battle Creek; daughter, DaRena Crockett of Battle Creek; sister, LaSondra Slaughter of Orlando, FL; . She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Kendrick, mother, Francis Kendrick, brother, Stanley Kendrick, sister, Mona Armstrong.
Mercedies favorite thing to do was volunteer at the Maranatha Original Church of God, singing in the choir. She enjoyed crocheting, was a talanted artist and enjoyed drawing people. Additionally, she really enjoyed spending time with her family, including her 7 grandchildren. She enjoyed backyard bar-b-que with her family playing bid wist. Family vacations usually were in Florida with the entire family including parents and grandchildren. Mercedies grandchildren enjoyed watching movies with her and having the grandchildren read to her..
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Maranatha Original Church of God, 400 Waubascon Road, on Thursday, August 25, 2016, 10:00 am with Pastor Geraldine T. Richardson officiating.
Mercedies has been cremated.
