Beatrice Mary Richardson, 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was born on October 17, 1945, the daughter of Robbie and Wilchie Cox.
Bea graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1963. She worked for the Battle Creek State Home Hospital but eventually retired in 1995 from the Battle Creek Transit. She enjoyed running her business "Braids by Bea" for over 30 years.
Bea is survived by her daughters, Niechelle Hunt and Alesia Richardson; three grandchildren, Tonesha (Marcelle) Heath, Jared Hunt, and Brooklyn Williams; one great-grandson, Marcelle Heath, II; brother, Robert "Jim" Robinson; four sisters, Elizabeth (Leo) Geiger, Joan Lewis, Josephine Jett, and Darlene (Albert) Garrett. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Samuel Robinson.
Bea was an avid member of the Y in Battle creek. She also loved to ride her bike for those mile long rides. She adored her family and particularly loved spending free time with her grandkids and her great grandson. She enjoyed working in her yard and traveling. She had a wonderful spirit about her and she will be sorely missed by all those who knew her.
