Eric Vern Thomas, 51, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. He was born on October 25, 1965, the son of Charles Kennedy Thomas and Kathleen (Resse) Thomas.
Eric was a 1983 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He was employed at Sherwin Williams in Battle Creek for several years and was formerly employed at Taco Bell, Car Quest Auto Parts and Johnson Controls.
Eric is survived by his Sons, Eric (Nasha) Greaves of Coldwater, MI and Deqwan Martin of Battle Creek, MI; Daughter, Erica Greaves of Detroit, MI; Grandchildren, Octavius Greaves and Montez Bush; Sister, Patricia "Patty" Thomas of Battle Creek, MI and Brother, Kenneth Thomas of Kalamazoo, MI. and a host of cousins; nieces; and nephews.
Eric enjoyed playing video games, basketball, baseball and watching football on TV. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He attended Garrison Hills Wesleyan Church.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Garrison Hills Wesleyan Church, 195 Bradley Street, on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am.
