Judith Ann  Cotton
Judith Ann Cotton, 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 8, 1949, the daughter of Fred James Williams and Catherine (Sherrod) Williams.
Judith retired from Kellogg and UpJohns after many years of service. She was an active member of Galilee Baptist Church in Kalamazoo.
Judith is survived by her Two Sons, Shelby Awtrey Cotton, II of Battle Creek, MI, Jeffery Allen Cotton of Battle Creek, MI; Daughter, Sherese Athens Cotton; Two Sisters, Freda Williams of Atlanta, GA, Francine Williams of Atlanta, GA; Brother, Fredrick Williams of NC; Three Grandsons, Kenneth Smith, Shelby A. Cotton, III, Ryan Straham; Two Granddaughters, Cierra D. Cotton, Marshell A. Cotton; Great-grandson, Kahmari Finnie. She was preceded in death by her Father, Fred James Williams, Mother, Catherine Williams and Sister, Gail Williams.
Judith was an avid writer. She loved writing personalized poetry for herself and for other people. She was very creative in her writing. She enjoyed singing in the choir every Sunday at church. She also liked teaching and spending time with people. There was never a person that could consider her a stranger. She was a very hard worker. She dedicated her life to her work, even if that meant going in early and getting out late. She would give herself to anyone that needed help. Judith was the center of her family. She loved everyone with her whole heart and loved spending time with them every chance she got.
