Obituary for Earlean Whitehead (Williams)

Earlean Whitehead, 62, of Battle Creek, Michigan, gained her wings on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on March 21, 1955, the daughter of Joseph Williams and Berline (Dillard) Williams.
Earlean graduated from Lansing Adult Education.
She was an active member of First Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Battle Creek.
Earlean is survived by her Husband of 21 years, William Whitehead of Battle Creek, Michigan; Daughters, Joetta LaTrice (Michael) Williams; Daughter/Grand-daughter, Kelsia Whitehead; Five Sons, LaTorrey Whitehead, Kelsey Joe Whitehead, William "J. Riggah" Whitehead Jr., Willie James Johnson Jr., and Wilnell Henry; Five Sisters, Mary (Lovie) Wilhite, Corinne (David) Moore, Irene (Earl) Moore, Ivory (Tony) Jenkins, Joann Williams; Two Brothers, Levi (Shirley) Williams, Jerry Williams; Special Friends, DeAngelia "Bunny" Shelton, Genice Johnson, Diane and Allen Smith; 19 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her Father, Joseph Williams Sr., Brother, Joseph Williams Jr., and Sister, Delma Ann Hutchinson.
Earlean enjoyed drawing, reading, doing artwork, going fishing and shopping. Her favorite passion was cooking and making meals for her family to enjoy. She was considered the "handy-woman" that everyone went to when they needed something fixed. Earlean was a woman of God. She devoted her life to Him, and could hold a conversation with anyone praising His name. She loved surrounding herself with family and making memories with them that will live on with her legacy. Earlean will be missed by those that she left behind.
Family hour will be held at First Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 370 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015, on February 22, 2018 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at First Salem Missionary Baptist Church, on February 22, 2018, starting at 12:00 pm with Reverend Dr. Craig Tatum of First Salem officiating.
Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
